COMMITTEE ROLE & RELATIONSHIPS

The Journey to 2040 Plan is led by City staff, with input and direction from several coordinated committees:

  • Project Oversight Committee

  • Technical Advisory Committee

  • Steering Committees for each planning effort:

    • Downtown Master Plan Steering Committee

    • Parks, Trails, and Open Space Plan (PTOS) Steering Committee

    • Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee

The Parks, Trails, and Open Space Plan Committee will work closely with the Project Oversight Committee, City staff, other committees, and the consultant team, to develop and evaluate planning alternatives, and make recommendations on a preferred plan.  Members of the Steering Committee will also be asked to provide advice and assistance to the project team for broader community outreach to residents and businesses, as they are able and willing to do so. Similar to the other Steering Committees, the Parks, Trails, and Open Space Plan Steering Committee will meet approximately monthly during the corresponding planning engagement being developed.
